Aurora abandons trans youth
New policy to stop all gender-affirming hormonal and surgical care for LGBT+ youth under 19yo
Aurora announced that their providers are to inform ALL patients under 19 that they will NO LONGER be able to receive this care at Aurora Health Care locations.
The actual doctors providing this care are NOT OK with Aurora’s capitulation to comply with Trump’s illegal executive order.
This policy is not based on medicine, nor care for patients, nor healing. This policy is meant to protect the financial interest of Aurora’s institutions, on the backs of an already-marginalized group.
This is a policy of COWARDS and of BIGOTS.

Call Out Day, Aug 18 & 19 - Call or use LiveWell on Mon Aug 18 or Tues Aug 19 to cancel any upcoming appointments you have at an Aurora-affiliated provider, and cite this policy as why
If your medical situation does not allow you to safely cancel
Call Aurora customer service at 833-528-7672 and tell them that they should undo this policy change
Spread the word amongst your communities and encourage others to speak out
Our civil rights, our rights to bodily autonomy and to self-actualization, will continue to erode if influential institutions like Aurora bow under this administration’s pressure. We must stand up and apply our own righteous pressure right back on them!
We must protect trans kids.
