Early voting starts tomorrow, Feb 12th!

The primaries for 2026 are already here!

Something important that I just discovered – the school board election happens during the primaries.

This is the final election for the school board!

This election year is very important both locally AND nationally. Choosing the right candidates in the primary will help make sure we have strong choices for the election this November. Some key races with contested Democratic spots include:

  • US Senate seat has several Democrats running including Roy Cooper

  • Our US House seat, Valerie Foushee is running for reelection against Democrats Nina Allam and Mary Patterson

  • Our NC Senate seat, Sophia Chitlik is running for reelection against Democrat DeDreana Freeman

  • 1 seat on the NC Court of Appeals has two democratic candidates

  • 2 seats in our NC District Court have two democratic candidates
